Most business owners think blogging is pointless.

They say things like:

“No one reads blogs anymore.” “It doesn’t get clients.” “I don’t have time for that.”

After publishing 60 blog articles, I can say this confidently:

Starting a blog is 100% worth it.

Not for making content easier, not for followers, but for building trust. You'll see why blogging is worth it in 2026 in just a second.

Blogging Turns Strangers Into Believers

When someone finds your website for the first time, they don’t know who you are.

They don’t know if:

  • You’re legit

  • You know what you’re doing

  • You’re better than the next business down the road

And a good blog fixes that instantly.

When a potential customer reads an article that answers their EXACT question, they go from not knowing who you are to thinking you’re the go-to expert for your service.

And that’s half the sale done already. Trust is the biggest obstacle people face when selling something.

Write What Customers Are Already Asking

You don’t need to be a professional writer.

You just need to answer common customer questions like:

  • “How much does XYZ cost?”

  • “Is XYZ worth it?”

  • “What’s the difference between X and Y?”

  • “What should I avoid?”

Every blog post should answer one question someone is already typing into Google.

And when you do that, you get people to find your website. Your website can come up when they search questions like that.

How One Blog Still Brings Me Website Traffic Today

Here’s a real example.

I once published a blog about psychological moonshots, which is a new marketing idea I read about in Steven Bartlett’s Diary of a CEO book.

At the time, it was new.

That meant low competition, which meant a good chance that MY page ranked on Google for that term.

And lo and behold…

That article still brings me website views today.

I didn’t promote it except for a social media post (which I do for every blog article), and I didn’t run ads for it.

It just sits there, working for me. That’s how powerful writing something people are already searching for is.

Blogs do the following:

  • Show why you’re an expert (you prove you know what you’re talking about!)

  • Answer objections by customers

  • Builds trust

  • Turn strangers into potential customers

All before they ever contact you.

So when someone finally calls you or fills in your form, they already believe you’re the right choice.

The Simple Blogging Rule That Proves Blogging Is Worth It In 2026

If you remember one thing, remember this:

Every blog post should answer one question your customer already has.

Do that consistently, and over time, your website will get more views from people who trust you.

If people search ‘how much does a new roof cost in Luton’... there’s a good chance they’re serious about buying.

So the more views you get, the more potential customers you get.

If you’re serious about getting more clients without relying only on ads, starting a blog might be one of the smartest moves you can make.

It may sound boring, but it’s EXTREMELY effective. That's why blogging is worth it in 2026.
