90% of the ads I see have basic offers which don’t appeal to customers.

They either don’t offer something that customers want or they do a bad job marketing it.

If you give me just 3 minutes of your time, I will give you 3 ways for both offer creation and how to market your offer to easily attract more clients.

Method 1) Get This Reaction

Brian Tracy is one of my favourite speakers and authors. In his book ‘The Psychology Of Selling’, he quotes marketing guru Dan Kennedy’s advice on presenting your offer.

Your offer should be so good that when customers see it, they say this:

“Really? How do you do that?”

The example Tracy gives in the book is "We can provide you with glass that doesn’t shatter.”

That would grab your attention, and would make you ask “Really? How do you do that?”

The glass example is good because it gives what customers want (glass) without the unpleasant part (shattering).

So, you should have an offer which satisfies what your customers need and also remove the negative parts of it.

A local business example could be:“We paint your home without leaving a mess.” (Some painters are known to be quite messy.)

Method 2) Alex Hormozi’s Equation

Alex Hormozi is an entrepreneur who’s written 2 bestselling business books. In his first book, he created an equation for how valuable an offer is:

Alex Hormozi Value Equation

Let’s quickly break this down:

Dream Outcome: What the customer wants to get. Make sure that your offer satisfies this.

Perceived Likelihood Of Achievement: How likely they think your solution is to work. Include testimonials and case studies to build trust.

Time Delay: How long it will take to get to the dream outcome using your offer. Keep this as low as possible while keeping it realistic.

Effort & Sacrifice: Any work they need to do when using your offer. Keep this low by making your process easy to follow and requiring little on their part.

You want to keep the first 2 factors high and the last 2 low. This makes your offer more valuable for your customer.

A local business example applying all 4 would be:“A New Roof (dream outcome) Installed For You (effort & sacrifice) Within A Day (time delay) As We’ve Done For Hundreds Of Customers (perceived likelihood of achievement)”.

Method 3) Use This Question To Improve Your Offer

If you’re creating an offer from scratch, I’d recommend the first 2 methods above.

However, if you already have an offer and want to make it even better, then this question will make your offer 10X more valuable:“If my product/service cost 10X more, what would I add to justify the price?”

You might start thinking of ideas like:

  • “I’d add a small bonus product/service to make their experience better!”

  • “I’d make the service get what they want faster!”

  • “I’d add a guarantee or warranty!”

Then, take at least one of these ideas and add it to your offer.

If you do this, you will make your offer more attractive than your competitors and make it easier for customers to choose you over them.

Once you get a few clients with this offer, the reputation you build for having great customer service will bring you clients on autopilot.

Now that we’ve gone through 3 methods to create and polish your offer, let’s touch on how to get it out to the market.

How To Market Your Offer

First, put your new offer on your website and wherever customers will find you.

Then, if you have business social media accounts, add your offer to your bio, include it in your posts, and you can even create a post about your new offer and add it to the ‘Featured’ section so anyone who visits your profile sees the post with your offer first.

If you run social media ads, then include your new offer in the ad. If you have a good offer, your conversion rate from your ads will increase!

The last powerful thing you can do is to create a landing page - this is a unique website page you can create specifically for your offer, so that anyone who clicks the link in your social media posts or ads is sent to that page. Include your offer and what they have to do next (eg fill out a quick form) and you’re good to go.

Those are the main ways to market your offer. If you can create a strong offer and market it in the right places, then the amount of visitors who turn into customers will shoot up quickly.
