Alex Hormozi, one of the biggest business gurus out there, recently said on a podcast that AI is one of the 3 biggest business opportunities he’s seen.

The other 2 were the internet and social media! AI is about to have a massive impact, which is why businesses are using it.

However, many businesses are using it in a way that is hurting their business.

If you want to know how you can use AI to attract clients like a magnet, then the next 4 minutes will show you how to do exactly that.

The Problem With Letting AI Write For Your Business

Every day, I see more and more businesses, local and digital, use AI tools like ChatGPT to write their website or their social media posts.

That sounds great, right? You save time to focus on your business!

I used to think the same. Until I saw how it repelled clients from wanting to buy.

The truth is that when businesses use ChatGPT, it is painfully obvious.

AI’s writing vomits out words that most people don’t use in day-to-day life:

  • “Elevate!”

  • “Embark!”

  • “Paramount!”

This leads to 2 problems:

  1. Customers feel like they’re being spoken to by a robot instead of a person. People like buying from other people, not from robots.

  2. Because people are starting to recognise when things are written by AI, customers end up thinking you put in 0 effort into writing, so why would you put effort into helping them?

Instead, you should write your marketing like an actual human being.

Your marketing, and any writing for your business, should sound like things you’d be comfortable saying to someone out loud.

I can give an example because I’ve done it for my own business. Here’s what AI came up with vs what we use:

AI’s Writing: “Elevate Your Business With Paramount Digital Marketing Solutions!”

Our Writing: “More Growth. More Clients. Guaranteed.”

If someone called you and used the words that AI was using, you’d think they were a Terminator robot.

Jordan Belfort, a sales trainer, says that there are 3 parts of convincing customers to buy:

  1. Increasing their trust in the product

  2. Increasing their trust in you

  3. Increasing their trust in the company selling the product

33% of the selling process depends on you as a person. If you write with AI, you’ve just killed a third of the chances of making a sale.

Customers like buying from other people. If you come across as genuine, then they will be much more likely to buy from you than if you used a Terminator robot to write for you.

However, there is a way that AI can be used to get you more clients.

It’s not writing for your business. It’s a method to make your marketing extremely effective.

How To Use AI To Attract Clients Like A Magnet

We’ve established that AI should not write your marketing. But what if it could help you to plan your marketing?

That’s right - we use AI for analysis. This is very specific analysis which few businesses know about, so listen in.

There are 4 things you need to analyse about your customers to sell to them:

  1. Geographic Data. This is where most of your customers live. This is important as you’ll know what areas to do your marketing in.

  2. Demographic Data. This is the average age, gender, and income of your customers. This is important because you’ll know who you should be marketing to.

  3. Psychographic Data. These are the beliefs and values of your customers. This helps you to create marketing that makes them more likely to buy.

  4. Behavioural Data. This is how people interact with your business, such as their decision-making process before they buy. This helps you to plan out how you’re going to position your marketing.

Once you find this data out, you’ll know exactly how to write your marketing so that it interests your customers and makes them buy. And you can find it out using AI.

Go onto ChatGPT, or any AI software like Microsoft CoPilot, and copy this exact prompt with 3 simple things you need to fill out :

“Can you help me analyse the target audience for my (type of company) in the (industry) based on four key data segments: geographic, demographic, psychographic, and behavioural? My most common customers currently are (who your most common customers are).”

You’ll notice there are 3 things you need to fill out. Your type of company (e.g. renovation company), your industry (e.g. home improvement industry) and your most common current customers (e.g. 40-60 year-old homeowners in Bedfordshire.)

In fact, I just used the exact example above and gave it to ChatGPT. It gave me the 4 types of analysis for this business and extremely specific suggestions for the marketing strategy. As someone who owns a marketing agency, the advice was rock solid.

If you take 2 minutes to do this, AI will give you information that would usually cost you thousands of pounds to hire a market research team to get.

Once you have this information, all you have to do is create your marketing around the customer data to make your customers more likely to listen to you and buy from you.
