If you send one message to your potential customers, 98% of them will read it.
That’s why WhatsApp is a hidden weapon which barely any businesses are using, making it your way of beating your competition.
Plus, it doesn’t even cost you a Hollywood budget… Keep reading for the guide on how you can turn WhatsApp into a money-making machine for your business.
Step 1 - Link It To Meta Ads (Facebook Ads & Instagram Ads)
Meta is the company that owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, meaning you can link your Facebook & Instagram ads to a business WhatsApp account.
When people see your ads, they will contact you on WhatsApp to buy from you, and even have ads shown on WhatsApp to give them that final nudge to buy.
(If you want to learn how to create Meta Ads that attract clients on autopilot like a magnet, click here for a free guide on how to do exactly that.)
So, if you’re running Meta Ads, link WhatsApp so customers see who see your ad will be able to contact you within seconds.
That’s a great way of building trust and addressing any concerns, making it easy for them to buy from you.
Step 2 - Set Up Automatic Reminders & Alerts
With your WhatsApp business account, you can also give your customers reminders & alerts whenever:
You have an offer/sale (makes them want to buy now)
Or if you just want to get them over the edge and give them that final nudge to buy.
80% of sales happen after the 5th time you contact a customer. Only 2% happen on the first contact!
This means that when you set up automatic reminders or alerts, you can make it 40X more likely that a customer will buy from you!
Every time you follow up with a potential customer, you make it more likely that they buy from you. Here are the statistics on that:

WhatsApp allows you to automatically do this, increasing your chances of getting customers without you even having to click “Send”.
This won’t be seen as spam, it actually benefits the customer in a few ways:
They may not have seen your first message.
They may not have been in a state to decide on the first message.
They may not have had the need or money to buy from you then, but they do now.
Step 3 - Add A WhatsApp Button To Your Website
On websites, you can have social media icons that link people to your social media accounts. Add a WhatsApp one.
On average, it is increasing the number of sales by anywhere from 0.3% to 2.6%. It’s not as massive as the previous methods, but it’s a nice little boost.
So link your WhatsApp to your website, which will make it easy for customers to contact you by text message or call so any customer concerns can be addressed. That then increases the chance that they’ll buy from you.
Step 4 - Set Up A WhatsApp Channel
These are groups you can make, where potential customers can join and see any live announcements you make as a business.
This is great for broadcasting updates, offers, or even saying that you can only take on a few more clients due to capacity.
All of those messages will keep customers updated, giving them a reason to buy from you now instead of later.
Step 5 - Retargeting Customers On WhatsApp
Retargeting is when you have a specific ad that is only shown to people who have seen your ad once, were interested, but didn’t buy.
In other words, you have a second chance at convincing customers to buy.
The process for this is:
Customer sees your first ad → Is interested but doesn’t buy yet → Sees a second ad specifically made for them → Comes back and buys.
For an in-depth guide on doing this process, click here for our free Meta Ads guide where we teach you how to get potential customers to come back and buy from you.
You can show these unique ads to only specific people on WhatsApp, which is great when you remember that 98% of WhatsApp messages get read.
This method allows you to get more customers without increasing how many people see your ad. Instead, you have a higher percentage of people who buy.
You’ll also get more clients for less money, as Meta Ads will show your ads to more people with the more you spend. But if your ads are shown to 100 people and 10% buy, that’s cheaper than showing your ads to 1000 people and only 1% buying.
That’s the power of retargeting - you can increase the number of customers who buy from your ads instead of simply showing your ads to more people.
You can also set up retargeting for people who are in your channel (as mentioned in Step 4), increasing your chances of getting customers even more.
